454, collected can tabs, August 2021

With 454, I embrace consumerism and accept that we heavily depend on it for survival. Being hand sanitizers, food or drink we are constantly consuming in our daily lives in all contexts. I want to show how consumerism shapes our lives and even provides us enjoyment, but it leaves a track over time. Each tab was personally collected from my consumption but mostly others', representing how the consumption can bring people together. The tabs represent a moment in our lives since these were collected in social contexts that are part of several people's lives.
